    Summary

    This study investigated visual pathways to the cat orbito-insular cortex (OIC). Findings indicate the lateral suprasylvian visual area (LS) is a key source of visual input to the OIC, bypassing primary visual areas.

    Background:

    • The orbito-insular cortex (OIC) receives visual input, but its precise anatomical origins remain incompletely understood.
