    Summary

Humans create order by decreasing entropy locally, increasing it globally. Conserving negentropy (negative entropy) through environmental information systems and biological processes is key to sustainability.

    Area of Science:

    • Thermodynamics
    • Information Theory
    • Environmental Science
    • Biology

    Background:

    • The second law of thermodynamics dictates an increase in universal entropy.
    • Human efforts to create order (negentropy) locally increase environmental entropy.
    • Negentropy is essential for life and environmental conservation.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To explore the relationship between thermodynamic entropy and information entropy.
    • To propose methods for environmental conservation based on negentropy principles.
    • To highlight the role of information and biological systems in sustainability.

    Main Methods:

    • Conceptual analysis linking thermodynamics and information theory (Wiener's work).
    • Examination of environmental conservation strategies.
    • Discussion of biological systems' role in environmental management.

    Main Results:

    • Human civilization functions on consuming negentropy, generating entropy.
    • Information theory provides a framework for understanding entropy in complex systems.
    • Effective environmental conservation can be achieved through negentropy management.

    Conclusions:

    • Conserving negentropy is a primary means of environmental protection.
    • Information systems and moral/economic structures can aid environmental conservation.
    • Biological systems, guided by genetic information, offer natural solutions for environmental purification.
