    Summary

    Fetal alpha-fetoprotein (alpha FP) effectively treated and prevented experimental allergic encephalomyelitis (EAE) in guinea pigs. This suggests alpha FP may explain pregnancy-related remissions in human autoimmune diseases.

    Background:
