    Summary

    This study shows a modified glaucoma drainage implant surgery effectively reduced intraocular pressure in advanced neovascular glaucoma cases. The Y-shaped Teflon tube procedure offered a safe and well-tolerated surgical option for complex glaucoma patients.

    Background:

    • Neovascular glaucoma is a severe form of glaucoma characterized by rubeosis iridis.
    • It often presents with significant pain and resistance to conventional treatments.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To evaluate the efficacy and safety of a modified Y-shaped Teflon tube drainage implant surgery.
    • To assess the impact of this surgical modification on intraocular pressure in advanced neovascular glaucoma.

    • A cohort of 12 eyes with advanced neovascular glaucoma underwent the modified drainage implant surgery.
