    Summary

    This study investigated the link between Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS) score discrepancies and Rorschach Experience Balance (EB) in psychiatric patients and children. Findings revealed no significant correlation, questioning the assumed relationship between these psychological assessment tools.

    Background:

    • The Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS) Verbal-Performance (V-P) discrepancy is often linked to personality traits like externalizing or delaying behaviors.
    • The Rorschach Experience Balance (EB) score, derived from movement and color responses, is also interpreted in terms of personality styles.
    • A theoretical link between WAIS V-P discrepancies and Rorschach EB has been proposed, suggesting a common underlying factor.

    Purpose of the Study:
