Abstract:
The effects of high pass filters with cut-off frequencies of 160 and 320 Hz on computer-constructed potentials with known parameters were studied. It is concluded that high pass filtering using high cut-off frequencies introduces temporal and amplitude distortions and artefacts which may not be distinguished from true potentials.
