[Osteoarticular lesions in pain perception deficit disorders in children]
Journal De Radiologie
|December 1, 1983
Abstract:
Deficiency of pain perception may be at the origin of bone and/or joint lesions. In children, these lesions frequent give rise to surprising and misleading radiological images as a result of the usual lack of immobilization due to a delayed diagnosis. Alterations in bone structure at the metaphyses and corticoperiosteal ossifications can suggest malignant affections. Trauma is generally the predominant factor in the etiology of these lesions.
