    A slow-growing primary lung lesion rapidly accelerated its growth over two years, recurring aggressively after surgery. This case highlights that stable lung nodules may not always indicate a favorable prognosis.

    Background:

    • Primary lung lesions can exhibit variable growth patterns.

    Observation:

    • A small primary lung lesion remained stable for 8 years, followed by rapid growth over 2 years.
    • Post-resection, the lymphangiosarcoma recurred within 6 months, infiltrating the chest wall.
    • Histopathology revealed lymphangiosarcoma without high-grade malignancy in both primary and recurrent lesions.

    Findings:

    • The tumor mass measured 87.2 cm3 upon surgical resection.
    • Rapid tumor progression and extensive chest wall infiltration were observed.
    • Recurrence occurred despite initial resection, leading to cardio-respiratory insufficiency.
