[Technical and clinical aspects of gynaecological laparoscopy]
Abstract:
Described in this paper is experience so far gained from the use of Menken's technique for diagnostic laparoscopy. Particular reference is made to certain peculiarities of the technique, such as puncturing direction parallel to the vertebral column. At the Gynaecological Hospital of Cottbus Region, Diagnostic laparoscopy had been applied to 193 patients, between May 1st, 1978 and December 31st, 1980. Sterility (25,38 per cent) and suspicion of extra-uterine gravidity (17.62 per cent) had been the most common indications. - The laparoscopic findings are reported. Methodical problems and complications are mentioned and discussed. They accounted for something up to 4.66 per cent among the author's patients.
