    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the excretion of piperacillin sodium into bile.
    • To determine if piperacillin concentrations in bile are sufficient to treat biliary tract infections.

    • Intravenous administration of piperacillin sodium (2g and 4g) to patients post-cholecystectomy.
