Abstract:
The antiserum against Salmonella (0 6, 7) antigen aggultinated Syringospora clausseni, and the serum against this fungus cross-agglutinated Salmonella (0 6, 7) antigen. Cross aglutination and absorption experiments showed that there was a common antigenic determinant between Syringospora clausseni and S. cholerae suis (6,7). This antigenic determinant may resemble the Minor antigen which is not used in usual sero-typing of Salmonella.
