[Investigation of Ca2+ inhibitory effect on cellulase activity]

    Abstract:

    The Ca2+ effect on the activity of cellulase [beta-1-4-endoglucanase) is quantitatively estimated. Values of partial inhibition of the enzyme activity at different Ca2+ concentrations within 2-10 mM are determined. The type of inhibition is identified from the data on kinetic analysis. The values of substrate and inhibitory constants are calculated.
