[Value of contrastography as a diagnostic means in paranasal sinus diseases]

The authors report on their investigations in contrast phase radiography of the paranasal sinuses, insisting to a greater extent on the data furnished by lipoiodine used as a contrast medium than on the technical aspects. A description is given of the views with a therapeutical indication, but also of the possible diagnostic errors. Particular attention is drawn to the advisability of introducing in current practice the displacement method used for contrast phase radiography of the posterior sinuses, showing their diagnostic and therapeutical advantages.
