[Coincidence of melanoma growth and immune status? Virus antigens as a parameter (author's transl)]
Abstract:
Antibody titer determinations against Epstein-Barr virus were carried out after primary operation in 51 patients with malignant melanoma in an observation period of 18 months. A coincidence of tumor growth and reduced immune defense was established. The antibody titer thus serves as a parameter for assessment of immune behavior.
