Abstract:
Fast prepotentials in the granular interneurons of carp olfactory bulb were recorded by means of intracellular microelectrodes. Data are presented indicating that fast prepotentials are generated in the electrogenic membrane of granular cell dendrites. It is supposed that dendritic spikes play an important role in the inhibitory synaptic influences of granular cells upon secondary olfactory neurons.
