[Tiapride and algesic syndrome (author's transl)]
Abstract:
The efficiency of the tiapride (3 x 100 mg) has been studied by the authors on a group of 20 patients presenting an algesic syndrome. The interpretation of the results depends on a scale from 0 to 3 varying with the intensity of pain. The antalgic effect usually starts 30 minutes later and lasts 8 hours or more for an injection of 100 mg. It appears from this study that the antalgic effect is not improved by increased dosage so that no advantage is found to increase the doses over 300 mg per 24 hours. The general and neurologic tolerance is excellent.
