    Summary

    Elevated thyroxine binding globulin (TBG) is common in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients, with or without cirrhosis. This study found reduced thyroxine (T4) binding to TBG in HCC, suggesting a low T4:TBG ratio can help diagnose hyperthyroidism.
