Congenital block vertebrae C2-C3 in patients with cervical myelopathy

Abstract:
One hundred and forty-five patients presenting with symptoms of cervical myelopathy were treated surgically. Eight of these patients (5.5%) showed congenital block vertebrae C2-C3. The relationship between this congenital anomaly and the occurrence of spondylotic myelo-radiculopathy is discussed.
