[Treatment of severe lung embolism under conditions of reanimation]
Abstract:
Despite intensive conservative treatment a 35-year-old woman with massive pulmonary embolism and cardiogenic shock developed cardiac arrest. After 45 minutes resuscitation, mechanical heart action reappeared with a systolic blood pressure at 60 mmHg. Though cardiogenic shock persisted, the patient survived operative embolectomy without any damage. Presenting this case as well as newest clinical reports, the chances of treatment of acute massive pulmonary embolism, conservative or operative, are discussed.
