Chloride requirement of the turkey breeder hen

Two experiments were conducted to determine the chloride requirement of Nicholas Large White Turkey hens fed a corn soybean meal diet. No supplemental chloride over the .03% in the basal diet and 20 ppm in the water was required for maximum egg production, fertility, or hatchability. Supplemental chloride at .09% was necessary for maximum specific gravity.
