    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate nursing faculty perceptions and practices regarding independent study in baccalaureate nursing programs.

    • Data were collected from a random sample of nursing faculty across 40 baccalaureate nursing programs in the Southern United States.
    • A response rate of 51% (219 faculty) was achieved.
