Transfusion therapy for renal transplant candidates

Abstract:
Improved graft survival was observed in cadaver-kidney recipients prepared with random donor blood transfusions and in selected living-related-kidney recipients primed with transfusions from the kidney donor. This seems to justify a purposeful transfusion policy in these patients.
