Teflon reinforcement of an uninterrupted aortic anastomosis
Abstract:
In the experience of the author, Teflon reinforcement of an uninterrupted aortic anastomosis has proved to be a rapid and reliable method to avoid excessive blood loss during reconstruction of the abdominal aorta with a prosthetic arterial graft. This approach has been especially appropriate when the aorta is too calcified or flimsy to permit a conventional, continuous suture technique.
