Abstract:
A case of a giant arteriovenous malformation involving almost the entire dominant hemisphere in a 32-year-old white male with progressive neurologic deterioration, presumbaly due to cerebral steal, is described. Special management included surgical intravascular embolization with latex spheres. and at a later date, resection of the arteriovenous malformation.
