Reconstruction of nasal defects using full-thickness skin grafts: a personal reappraisal
Abstract:
In spite of occasional difficulties in matching local skin color and texture, full-thickness skin graft reconstruction is usually a more satisfactory procedure than skin flap surgery for nasal defects. The reasons for skin graft preference are reviewed and discussed as are technical considerations and postoperative care. To achieve maximum aesthetic results dermabrasion revision is recommended.
