The association of capital budgeting techniques with hospital financial performance
Health Care Management Review
|January 1, 1984
Abstract:
Major findings indicate that the presence of a long-range plan is the only capital budgeting dimension that is significantly associated with financial performance in a sample of 87 hospitals. This finding is consistent with earlier research in business firms. It supports the general notion that more emphasis should be placed on planning and less on specific management techniques.
