[Antero-internal approach to the lumbar spine]

Lumbar surgery is currently benefiting from the development of anterior approaches to the spine and the possibilities of body grafts. The transperitoneal approach is being replaced more a more by an extra-peritoneal approach which enables anterior access to the spine. The authors report an antero-internal approach for all the lumbar spine.
