[Obstetrical indications for prenatal diagnosis, Yes, but?]
Abstract:
The authors define the four principal indications for investigation of foetal malformation when abnormal phenomena occur during the pregnancy. They justify the practice of amniocentesis in each particular case, as it requires a very rigorous indication given the potential risks when it is performed late in pregnancy. One must take into account the date of the pregnancy, the type of malformation and the practical implications posed by the diagnosis.
