    Postpartum hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian function shows decreased gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) secretion in early postpartum women. This leads to low follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) levels, indicating hypothalamic hypofunction.
