Percutaneous renal stone removal. Use of carbon dioxide as contrast material

The successful performance of a percutaneous nephrostomy requires contrast material in the renal collecting system. For an exact delineation of all renal calices in a patient allergic to iodine, carbon dioxide was injected into the renal pelvis. The stone was removed successfully.
