Abstract:
An extremely rare complication caused by an endovenous catheter for parenteral feeding has been described. The catheter, inserted into the inferior vena cava through the saphenous vein, passed through the right renal vein and penetrated into the renal collecting system, thus causing a painless gross hematuria in the course of blood transfusion through the line.
