[Evaluation of the microbiological contamination of a milk feeding mixture (MKS)--Selasan]

The Selasan medicated milk replacer for piglets was evaluated from the point of view of the quality and quantity of the contaminating microflora in relation to the available raw-material base. Thirteen production batches of the Selasan mixture and eighteen production batches of seven partial components of the mixture were found to be sources of a high microbial contamination; however, the criteria given in Sectorial Standard ON 57 0836 were still met.
