    Summary

    Goats are susceptible to aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) poisoning, with clinical signs and blood changes appearing in a dose-dependent manner. Higher AFB1 doses led to more severe toxicosis and specific blood alterations.

    Background:

    • Aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) is a mycotoxin with known toxicity in various animal species.
    • Understanding AFB1 toxicokinetics and toxicodynamics in goats is crucial for animal health and food safety.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the clinical and clinicopathologic effects of different dosage levels of AFB1 in domestic goats.
    • To determine the dose-relatedness of AFB1 toxicosis onset and severity in goats.

    Main Methods:

    • Groups of male crossbreed domestic goats were orally administered three different dosage levels of AFB1.
    • Clinical signs, feed consumption, and selected blood parameters were monitored throughout the study.
