    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the effect of stimulus presentation location (fovea vs. periphery) and modality (alone vs. simultaneous) on visual detection.
    • To test a limited-capacity attentional model of visual stimulus processing.

    • Subjects performed a stimulus detection task under three conditions: foveal stimuli alone (SMf), peripheral stimuli alone (SMp), and simultaneous foveal and peripheral stimuli (SIMfp).
