    Background:

    • Standard cystoscopy can be uncomfortable and challenging in certain patient groups.
    • The need for minimally invasive and effective diagnostic tools in urology is growing.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To evaluate the efficacy and tolerability of flexible carbon dioxide cystoscopy.
    • To assess the utility of a flexible bronchoscope for urological examinations.

    Main Methods:

    • Flexible carbon dioxide cystoscopy was performed on 65 patients.
    • An Olympus BF type 1 TR endoscope, typically used for bronchoscopy, was utilized.
    • Procedures were conducted under local anesthesia.

    Main Results:

    • Good visualization of the bladder was achieved.
    • No lesions were missed when compared to standard cystoscopy.
    • The procedure was well-tolerated by patients.
