Abstract:
A case of chondrosarcoma of the maxilla with axial and coronal computed tomography is presented. The value of this new modality over conventional radiographs is discussed. A cartilagenous malignancy was suggested by a soft tissue mass with calcification. In addition there was lysis and osteoblastic bony reaction. Tumour extension into neighbouring structures is excellently demonstrated.
