Abstract:
Federal, state, and county governments, along with the medical community, are continually attempting to find ways to curtail rising health care costs. Prepaid capitated health care systems have been devised and implemented in an attempt to control these costs. The Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) is an experimental system being tried in Arizona in an attempt to stabilize expenses within the Medicaid system.
