    Background:

    • A 56-year-old male presented with a mediastinal mass, fever, and chest pain, which resolved spontaneously.
    • After 2.5 years, the patient developed nephrotic syndrome and a recurrent mediastinal mass, diagnosed as malignant thymoma.
    • This marks the first reported instance of an association between malignant thymoma and minimal-change disease.

    Findings:

    • The patient's nephrotic syndrome resolved following treatment for the malignant thymoma.
    • The study highlights a novel association between thymoma and minimal-change glomerulopathy.

    Implications:

    • This case suggests a potential link between thymoma and minimal-change disease, possibly mediated by immune system dysfunction.
