Covert suppressor T cells in Crohn's disease
Patients with Crohn's disease do not have a suppressor T-cell deficiency. Instead, purified T cells from these patients reveal a marked inhibition of immunoglobulin M synthesis, indicating a regulatory defect in immune cells.
