Summary

Kidney transplant recipients show reduced suppressor cell activity during rejection episodes and after immunosuppressive therapy. However, sustained suppressor cell activity correlates with excellent long-term graft survival, particularly after anti-lymphocyte globulin (ALG) treatment.
