The possibilities and the value of all methods which are applicable for a global diagnosis in neurological patients with vascular diseases are being compared in more than 1000 cases with operations of the carotid arteries. The necessity of an overall information for an optimal treatment is shown. But one can not renounce cerebral panangiography altogether.
