[Vascular function tests and venous diseases]

The current success of functional vascular investigations invites certain questions: are they essential? Is it a matter of fashion or of real progress? Summing up the indications of functional investigations at the stages of diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment, the necessity to distinguish between morphology and function is made quite clear. The two approaches give useful information to the practitioner. They are complementary. They are not equivalent.
