Multiple sclerosis (MS) and temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE) showed similar psychiatric contact rates, both higher than amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). MS patients exhibited significantly more depressed mood disorders, suggesting a neurological link to mood disturbance.
