    • Neoplastic change in hyperplastic endothelial cells of cerebral blood vessels is implicated in sarcoma formation.

    Findings:

    • The induced sarcoma formation is analogous to gliosarcoma, where both neoplastic tissues coexist within the same tumor mass.
    • Carcinoma cells appear to release a factor or substance that promotes hyperplasia to neoplasia in cerebral vessel endothelial cells.

    Implications:

    • This phenomenon highlights a potential shared oncogenetic pathway in brain tumor development.
    • Understanding this interaction could offer new insights into the biology of brain metastases and primary brain tumors.
