    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the developmental changes in thymic medullary non-lymphoid cells in rats.
    • To characterize subtypes and assess secretory activity in relation to thymic development.

    • Morphometric analysis and planimetry were used to quantify cell numbers and thymic volume.
    • Electron microscopy identified and classified medullary non-lymphoid cell subtypes.

    • Morphological changes observed do not clearly correlate with the expected increase in secretory activity during thymic endocrine development.
