[Abscess-forming pneumonia in esophageal cancer. A case contribution]

A 46-year-old male patient with rapidly progressive Klebsiella pneumonia and abscess formation is presented. The infection resulted from a mediastinal-pulmonary fistula that developed during irradiation of a widespread carcinoma of the oesophagus.
