    Summary

    Ioxaglic acid (Hexabrix) is a safe and effective contrast agent for cerebral angiography. This study found it well-tolerated with excellent radiographic quality and minimal patient discomfort.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To evaluate the safety, tolerability, and efficacy of ioxaglic acid (Hexabrix) in cerebral angiography.
    • To assess patient-reported pain and overall side effect incidence.

    Main Methods:

    • An open-labelled clinical study involving sixty patients.
    • Administration of ioxaglic acid (Hexabrix) for carotid and brachiocephalic injections.
    • Assessment of pain, side effects, and radiographic film quality.

    Main Results:

    • Only 4% of patients reported significant pain during injections.
