Background:

Alveolar soft part sarcoma (ASPS) is a rare, aggressive soft tissue malignancy.
ASPS typically affects young adults and can present in various locations, including the head, neck, and extremities.

A 22-year-old woman presented with an alveolar soft part sarcoma in the scapular region.
The patient underwent surgical resection as the primary treatment modality.

Post-operative chemotherapy with adriamycin and dacarbazine (DTIC) was administered.
Despite treatment, the patient experienced rapid and extensive metastatic progression, indicating treatment resistance.
