Prosthetic valve endocarditis is a serious complication. Surgical intervention for infected mechanical valves significantly reduces mortality compared to medical management alone.

Prosthetic valve endocarditis (PVE) is a severe complication following valve replacement surgery.
Managing PVE presents significant clinical challenges and impacts patient outcomes.

To evaluate the effectiveness of medical versus surgical management for prosthetic valve endocarditis.
