[Treatment results in various morphological patterns of glomerulonephritis]

The treatment of 257 patients with mesangioproliferative and 87 patients with membranous proliferative glomerulonephritis followed up for a long time revealed that the treatment results depended on the disease activity. The immediate effect obtained in the treatment of patients with different morphological alterations but similar clinical manifestations and course of glomerulonephritis appeared to be alike. At the same time the overall therapeutic results attained in the patients with membranous proliferative glomerulonephritis were considerably worse because of the higher rate of relapses refractory to the treatment.
